Public bug reported:

Since the installation of Ubuntu 24.04 the onboard keyboard on the login screen crashes when I click on it.
Some keys on my Dell keyboard do not function so without the onboard keyboard I need to plug in an external
keyboard to type my password which is very inconvenient. I tried changing the setting from Xinput to GTK
which did not help. It worked fine in Ubuntu 22.04. Once I am logged in I can use the on-screen keyboard
which although somewhat buggy does not crash.
