[Bug 2078780] [NEW] Upgrade from 22.04 to 24.04 fails

Public bug reported:

I am using Kubuntu 22.04 and now I got an upgrade notification to
upgrade to 24.04.

Unfortunately, it fails with no output message.

I then try to do the upgrade from the terminal. Here is the output

  I am using Kubuntu 22.04 and now I got an upgrade notification to
