Title:
During upgrade to Kubuntu 13.10 it says: cannot install tex-common

Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Upgrading Kubuntu 13.04 to 13.10.

The error is simply that the subprocess has given an exit signal '1'
and it couldn't make a report because the value of maxreports has been
reached. I would have liked to copy the original error text, but this
is impossible in the upgrade window. When I try to mark some text for
c&p, it simply sets the cursor to that place and writes it's further
installation output to that position. Weired.

I did all this on a MacBook late 2008 in Parallels Desktop 9 in a VM
  of a BootCamp partition.

I used simply the system actualization (dist full upgrade I think)
  that popped up.
