Ubiquity is no longer used as an installer in any flavor of Ubuntu from
24.04 onward.

  ubiquity crashed in 24.04 installation

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I tried to install Xubuntu 24.04 using the iso downloaded from the daily pending versions.
  The bootstrap installer started but took about 5 minutes or more before showing the whirling icon and text "Preparing Xubuntu"
  The installer did not move away from that for a timed 38 minutes.
  To see if it would still work I installed ubiquity and all the dependencies including the ubiquity-frontend-gtk with all dependencies.
  ubiquity started as expected and after copying all the files ready for installing to start it crashed.
