(I was able to downgrade to previous version 7.4.3-4ubuntu2.24 and this
fixed the problem, but this version was upgrade for a security problem,
so I hope the bug will get fixed)

Title:
PHP7.4 ldap broken on focal after 13 dec 2024
Status in php7.4 package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Last night unattended upgrade (13/12/2024) on Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
(focal) brought php7.4 from version 7.4.3-4ubuntu2.24 to
7.4.3-4ubuntu2.26.
Unfortunately, after the upgrade, the php-ldap module no longer works.
This is the error I get:
Unable to load dynamic library 'ldap.so' (tried:
/usr/lib/php/20190902/ldap.so (/usr/lib/php/20190902/ldap.so:
undefined symbol: RETURN_THROWS), /usr/lib/php/20190902/ldap.so.so
(/usr/lib/php/20190902/ldap.so.so: cannot open shared object file
I've verified this on two different servers.
At the moment, PHP 7.4 applications using LDAP are broken after the
upgrade.
