Public bug reported:

Please sync efivar 38-2 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
  * Fix creation of boot options on non-ACPI systems (LP: #2029407)
    d/p/0001-linux-handle-non-ACPI-systems-in-device_get.patch
  * Ignore stringop-truncation warnings in text_to_guid, seen when building
    with lto.

The 0001-linux-handle-non-ACPI-.... patch is now included in Debian.

The stringop-truncation warning patch seems unnecessary given build
success without it.

Changelog entries since current noble version 37-6ubuntu3:

efivar (38-2) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Don't compile with -march=native. Closes: #1055123
