Public bug reported:

grub-mkconfig fails "version_find_latest command not found". Apparently
version_find_latest has been retired. There is a workaround patch, which
needs to be applied by hand with the Ubuntu scrips. Seems to also affect
booting with the last configuration, making unattended reboot
impossible.
