Public bug reported:

Affected versions:

Bionic - 1.0.0-0ubuntu4~18.04.6
Xenial - 1.0.0-0ubuntu4~16.04.4

IMDSv2 is a protocol that Amazon maintains to access instance metadata.
IMDSv1 uses a request/respond method, whereas IMDSv2 uses a session-
oriented method.

IMDSv2 is a more secure protocol and is recommended going forward.

More info can be found at
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/configuring-
instance-metadata-service.html

** Affects: ec2-hibinit-agent (Ubuntu)
