Check your alias, you may set 'which' alias some not support parameters.

  Invalid

Bug description:
  mico at mico:~$ which
  /usr/bin/which: illegal option -- -
  Usage: /usr/bin/which [-a] args

  mico at mico:~$ which ls
  /usr/bin/which: illegal option -- -
  Usage: /usr/bin/which [-a] args

  mico at mico:~$ sh
  sh-3.00$ which ls
  /bin/ls
