You have been subscribed to a public bug:
With both Chrome and Firefox having dropped ftp support, Ubuntu needs a
correct default configuration to actually open ftp links.
Things like gconf-editor and stuff no longer are present/work. Various
"gio mime" options all return with things like:
```
λ gio mime x-scheme-handler/ftp nautilus-folder-handler.desktop
gio: Failed to load info for handler “nautilus-folder-handler.desktop”
λ gio mime x-scheme-handler/ftp nautilus.desktop
gio: Failed to load info for handler “nautilus.desktop”
λ gio mime x-scheme-handler/ftp=nautilus.desktop
No default applications for “x-scheme-handler/ftp=nautilus.desktop”
```
Thanks.
