These warnings were first added a long time ago, so it is definitely
worth modernizing. The "removing packages" one could likely be removed
all together, or at least the threshold for showing the message should
be increased.

Hi, I saw a public report about ubuntu-release-upgrader here:

IMHO, these strings does not fit the situation because they are depend
on user's internet speed + server's limitation + compute power of
computer.
Can we make them a bit more obvious?
"Fetching and installing the upgrade can take several hours.
Once the download has finished, the process cannot be canceled."
"Installing the upgrade can take several hours.
Once the download has finished, the process cannot be canceled."
"Removing the packages can take several hours."
