Public bug reported:
The track pad on the laptop is unresponsive recently after some
upgrades. I have tested it on Windows on the same machine, it is working
as expected under windows.
The problem appears to be that the OS assumes that the primary mouse
button has been clicked and hence any mouse movement appears jarred.
When I move the mouse using the trackpad it auto selects text - which is how a mouse will perform if you press the primary key and move over text.
I am open to any further testing
