To clarify, I think Brian's suggestion was to install lubuntu-desktop,
and then try the upgrade again. Please do that and let us know if that
works for you.

  Oldish Mythbuntu distribution failing to update from 20.04 to 22.04

Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have a legacy server I use that was originally built from a
  Mythbuntu distribution.  Has worked fine for a decade now, serves
  everything I need it to.

  Tried to upgrade from 20.04LTS to 22.04LTS today, and it won't.

  I know Mythbuntu was built on top of XFCE desktop.  It would save me hours of Google-fu this weekend if you know of an easy upgrade path to another lightweight desktop option that has worked for others.
