Trying to bootstrap Ubuntu 23.04 from 23.04 chroot generates an error as
shown below. Steps done prior trying to bootstrap: symlinked lunar to
bullseye found in /usr/share/debootstrap/scripts

# debootstrap --variant=minbase lunar /target http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu

Adding --exclude=usr-is-merged to command line avoids the problem.

Temporary chroot bootstrapped from Ubuntu 22.04 LTS using command 
# debootstrap --variant=minbase --no-check-gpg lunar /tmp/lunar http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu

Chroot accessed using a helper script created by me that automates many
repetitive jobs when chrooting to a linux based OS, it is attached,
usage: script_name chroot
