Thanks for the report.

In the dpkg log is the following:

FATAL ERROR:
Both /lib/libx265.so.179 and /usr/lib/libx265.so.179 exist.

Any idea what's happening there?  That's an unexpected location for the file in the first place, was this installed outside of the package manager?
At any rate, the likely resolution is to remove one of them and then:

You can try correcting the errors reported and running again
/usr/lib/usrmerge/convert-usrmerge until it will complete without errors.
Do not install or update other Debian packages until the program
has been run successfully.
