It sounds like the upgrade itself finished normally, but you are having
issues with pulse after the fact. Is that correct? Please note that
pipewire is now the default audio server (see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KineticKudu/ReleaseNotes).

If you are having audio issues, I think it would be better to open a new
bug against the pipewire package.
