Gave it a try again in the VM, no issues this time.

Title:
Safe graphics: Input fields of "who are you?" cannot be focused

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Testing safe mode[1] in a VM with 20G disk:

    qemu-system-x86_64 -boot d -m 3.4G -enable-kvm -smp 6 -hda
  kinetic.img -cdrom kinetic.iso

I cannot click the text fields of the "who are you?" page and thus
  cannot complete installation.

I can, however, click the checkbox and radio buttons, though they also
behave oddly, sometimes becoming gray (as if stuck) rather than
  orange.

Pressing <Tab> also doesn't help in any way.

  I attach a screen cast.
