I agree that this is the same as before and therefore can go fast-path.

The subscription by foundations is in place already.
$ ./get-packages-subscribed.py --team foundations-bugs -p | grep nvme
libnvme
nvme-cli

The packaging of the new source is good, they seem responsive on integrating our patches (one from bdrung for example) and are up to date.

python3-nvme and libnvme-dev have no crazy dependencies (the latter will be auto-included).
Not sure if python3-nvme will stay in main as there are no dependencies (I will promote it to be sure and since there seems to be no conflict, but expect to auto-demote in a few days).
If you want that it seems you need to seed it directly.

Recommended: Build time tests exist, but there is no autopkgtest as of
today, that would be a greta addition, but IMHO at the level of nvme-cli
(which already is in main) and not in this underlying lib.

Mir Team ACK and promoting ...

Title:
  [MIR] libnvme

Status in libnvme package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
libnvme is a code-split from nvme-cli. So a full MIR might not be needed.
  https://github.com/linux-nvme/nvme-cli/releases/tag/v2.0-rc0

Link to original nvme-cli MIR: https://pad.lv/1889688

PS: The other new nvme-cli (build-)dependency on src:libhugetlbfs is
optional and could be dropped by introducing an Ubuntu delta.
