Title:
update-manager pops up at unpredictable times, steals keyboard focus,
and confirms the action before I get a chance to read what it was
  saying

Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
This has happened more than once to me over the years:

  - I'm typing some text in to a text area in a browser or somewhere

  - update-manager window pops up and steals keyboard focus

  - I finish typing a word and press space, before I have time to react
  to the new popup

  - update-manager interprets the space as confirming the action and
  starts installing updates.

  This is somewhat annoying.
