Bug description:
  Xubuntu Jammy daily install on
  - hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)

  On shutdown (failed install), I didn't get a message telling me to
  eject media & press enter, just two black screens and underline top
  left on both screens.

  It shutdown on pressing enter, but I waited two minutes before hitting
  enter and nothing appeared on screen.

  This is a refiling of

  is marked FIX released for impish (via documentation/release-notes))

  
  Note:  as the failure of the message occurs during shutdown, the box was rebooted to file bug via `ubuntu-bug` so this is a subsequent boot
