Title:
  xubuntu jammy: ubiquity reports grub-install /dev/sda failed

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Unexpected error as this box is used for QA-test installs very
  regularly (including a Xubuntu 20.04.4 install less than an hour ago
  as I wrote the wrong ISO to thumb-drive)

  Xubuntu jammy daily install (auto-resize) on
  - hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)

  (disk is actually very full;
  - 2x ubuntu-mate 20.04.4
  - lubuntu jammy
  - xubuntu 20.04.4 installed today

  Note: The Xubuntu 20.04.4 was installed today as I wrote the wrong ISO
  to thumb-drive..

  ** Expected result

  System installs without errors telling me grub-install failed

  ** Actual result

  System reports grub-install failed

  On rebooting, the install itself was good & thus passed. GRUB had the
  correct number of items

  (I tested all but one as being valid (one booted the wrong OS but as
  my dog was hitting my wrist trying to get me to play - I'm blaming the
  dog for why a focal.xubuntu booted instead of focal.ubuntu-mate)  see
  iso.qa log for my recorded test log)
