Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

Bug reporting is about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future
users from hitting the same bug.

I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg.
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your
problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community
http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or
https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at
https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709

I've marked this bug as Invalid as it reads like you would benefit from
support. You've tagged this as an issue with the installer (`ubiquity`)
you used 369 days ago. The error instead more probably is another
synaptic process on another window/workspace that is waiting for a
response. The kernel mentioned in your paste is also an older kernel
(21.10) not used by your current system (ie. an issue that would benefit
from support & unrelated to your Ubuntu 21.04 install long ago).

** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid
