Confirmed, but LP#1960119 needs to be done first, since we need to patch
from newest (devel) to oldest release.

** Changed in: ubuntu-z-systems
       Status: New => Confirmed

** Changed in: s390-tools (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Bug description:
  Add definitions for new hardware IBM z16.

  This is the s390-tools part of the bug / fix for the new IBM z16 defs
  which need to be backported to focal (20.04).

  For jammy (Ubuntu 22.04), the patches have already been provided via the following bugzilla / Launchpad entry:
  Bug 196342 - LP1960119 : [22.04 FEAT] [KRN2109] Add new CPU-MF Counters for new IBM Z Hardware - s390-tools part

  == Comment: #1 - <TMRICHT at de.ibm.com> - 2022-05-20 06:53:16 ==
  Here is the patch for the s390-tools program named lscpumf. The patch is for the perl version of the tool I have found when installed ubuntu 20.04 (vmlinuz-5.4.0-110-generic) kernel version.

  If you need the patch for the lscpumf.c program (rewrite of perl to C) you can use
  the patch file from bugzilla 196342 - LP#1960119 (jammy version Ubuntu 22.04).
