updatedb doesn't change anything:
/var/lib/plocate$ ls -lh plocate.db
-rw-r----- 1 root plocate 954 кві 30 01:18 plocate.db
/var/lib/plocate$ sudo updatedb
/var/lib/plocate$ ls -lh plocate.db
-rw-r----- 1 root plocate 954 кві 30 15:18 plocate.db
/var/lib/plocate$ locate fstab
Nothing here.

example:
locate fstab
returns nothing.
