Since there is no mini.iso available anymore, there does not seem to be
a way to UEFI/PXE netboot debian-installer. This is a showstopper for
our installations. We currently have about 1500 Desktop/Laptop
computers, which we install over the network.
The web page at
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/jammy/main/installer-
amd64/current/legacy-images/ suggests that we should use server
installer instead, but this is troublesome and inefficient with the huge
server install image.
We would prefer to continue using debian-installer, which easily allows
us to install just few packages and then hand over the process to puppet
in d-i preseed/late_command.
Could you please reconsider releasing the mini.iso or provide some other
way to netboot preseeded debian-installer.
Thank you.
** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
