  Netplan with systemd-networkd as renderer

Creating ethernet connection on Hipersockets device in DHCP mode fails
  to assign IPs

  1. Configure a Hipersockets device
     chzdev -e 0.0.8f00

  2. Create a .yaml file with the below details

  network:
      version: 2
      ethernets:
          enc8f00:
              dhcp4: yes

  3. netplan apply

  4. The IP is not assigned as seen below

  root at M96SANKAR:/etc/netplan# ip a s

enc8f00: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,NOARP,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 32768 qdisc mq state UP group default qlen 1000
