The syslog file shows eno1 getting an IP address and connecting to
is.archive.ubuntu.com so I'm not sure why ubiquity didn't think you were
connected.

Bug description:
Installing Xubuntu Impish daily 27-08-2021
Dell Optiplex 7060 connected to internet via ethernet connection (this
is a bare metal box not a VM)
The installer fails to recognize the connection and does not offer to download updates etc.
this also results in failure to select correct timezone.
However on reboot the Internet is connected
