Another install & the same result..

The plymouth screen just pauses; and both my screens show blue
background, lubuntu logo (no longer swirling) and "Powered by Lubuntu"
bottom in the centre.

No black screen... it's just frozen.

On pressing ENTER the reboot occcurs.

This install is on the same box
- hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)
install testcase this time was "Manual partitioning with separate /home" though I don't think testcase item (calamares install options) differ.

install is good once again.

Bug is MINOR issue though; unclean shutdown of *live* media only

Bug description:
  Lubuntu impish daily QA-test install to
  - hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)
  (testcase: full disk, no encryption, BIOS, no internet, swap)

  on 'reboot' message (calamares on screen), plymouth has now been
  replaced by black screen & it's just sitting there...

  been left awhile... switching to text terminal & back and now I can
  see "Please remove the installation media, then reboot." message when
  I return to GUI (ctrl+alt+F1) but it was just black screen before
  then...

  on enter I got nothing either... i eventually SysRq-REISUB to get it to reboot..
  I've experienced this before, but I don't think on this box & not recently...

  I don't think I can ignore this, but it's currently of no value
  (incomplete?) and will need exploration..

  ** Expected outcome

  I expect a eject media message to appear, and it to reboot on pressing
  enter

  ** Actual outcome

  Just black screen... I got the message only by typing Ctrl+Alt+F4
  followed by Ctrl+Alt+F1, then the ENTER key did nothing.. eventually
  achieved reboot via SysRq+REISUB

  ** New but random issue??

  Note:   I've installed to this box once on each of the prior two
  dailies without this issue, same full-disk except encryption was used
  (with & without-internet; no-swap I think on prior two days but I
  don't see encryption/swap as impacting this issue).  This box is used
  for installs; so I'll repeat this (or at least equivalent) installs
  and we'll see if it occurs again...
