Public bug reported:

After upgrading to Ubuntu 21.10 my dock Gnome app misbehaves. Before the
upgrade I had Dash to Dock Gnome extension enabled and after the upgrade
it is no longer listed in Gnome Extensions, but settings for it are
still available via dconf editor and it is still partially running. This
mean that the Dock is visible and the "Show Applications" button is
visible, but no applications are showing in the dock (it is blank).

I am at a loss for what to do to restore the Dock to a working state as
I am unable to uninstall Dash to Dock.

The reason for installing Dash to Dock in the first place was to move
the "Show Applications" button to the top as it was in previous versions
of Ubuntu.
