currently a new version of the release upgrader available in -proposed
which may resolve the error you've encountered. Please run the following
command to test the new version of the upgrader:

  do-release-upgrade -p

  Upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04.2 from 18.04 fails- Can't calculate the

Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When attempting to upgrade to 20.04.2 from 18.04, I receive an error
  message that "Ubuntu could not calculate the upgrade".  I attempted
  ppa-purge on a few ppas hoping that might address the issue, do not
  seem to have any broken packages and sudo apt upgrade and update run
  clean.  I checked /var/log/dist-upgrade main.log and apt.log but
  nothing jumps out at me as to what is causing the issue.  Any help
  would be greatly appreciated.  TIA.
