Thank you for your bug report, usually SRU include selected fixes rather
than updating to new version. Do you have issues that you care more
specifically that are affecting focal and resolved in newer versions?
Ideally a SRU would need to start by having a testcase explaining how to
trigger the problem so it's possible to confirm the issue and verify the
fix

Title:
logrotate on 20.04 is ancient and misses important bugfixes
Status in logrotate package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Ubuntu focal/20.04 has logrotate version 3.14.0 which is ancient.
There have been multiple important bugfixes since then
(https://github.com/logrotate/logrotate/releases).
Ubuntu hirsute/21.04 does include the latest version, but that isn't
an LTS version, so is not an option for many of us.
Please consider adding the latest version to the 20.04 apt repository?
(I'm aware of workarounds such as installing manually, building from
source, etc. But like most users I prefer to rely on the apt
repositories.)
Thanks!!!
