Title:
  blkmapd: open pipe file /run/rpc_pipefs/nfs/blocklayout failed: No
  such file or directory

Status in nfs-utils package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  for a long time I have seen such an error in the boot log

  Dec 07 21:00:07 homl blkmapd[267]: open pipe file
  /run/rpc_pipefs/nfs/blocklayout failed: No such file or directory

  while the NFS works without problems
  recently found a solution to this error
  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1753870

  add kernel module pre-load to the unit

  # /etc/systemd/system/nfs-blkmap.service.d/override.conf
  [Service]
  ExecStartPre=/usr/sbin/modprobe blocklayoutdriver

  and the next time the system boots this error did not appear
