Super+1 is actually a keyboard shortcut for gnome-shell and this does
work in qemu when you set up the virtual machine to grab input. So its
likely that the MATE test case is wrong.

Bug description:
  I'm testing 20201021.2 test case 1309, screen-reader installation. It
  has instruction "Press Super+1 to begin the installation. Super is the
  left windows key". Doing so does nothing on Ubuntu MATE.
