I am experiencing the same with grub-efi-amd64 2.04-1ubuntu26.7.

```

I also happen to have nvidia-drivers.

Bug description:
  Running apt-get update; apt-get upgrade for the first time in a few
  months, I get an error

  ```

  Retrying fails.
