Title:
  undefined symbol: JLI_StringDup

Status in openjdk-lts package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Apparently there is an issue with the libjli. I get the following
  error:

  /usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk-amd64/bin/java: symbol lookup error:
  /usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk-amd64/bin/java: undefined symbol:
  JLI_StringDup validate java command: /usr/lib/jvm/java-11-openjdk-
  amd64/bin/java.

I also tried openjdk-8-jre-headless which works absolutely without
such an error. Additionally the opfficial OpenJDK package
  (https://download.java.net/java/GA/jdk11/9/GPL/openjdk-11.0.2_linux-
x64_bin.tar.gz) works without any issues. So this seems to be caused
  by the Ubuntu package.

  Ubuntu release: 18.04
  Package version: 11.0.7+10-2ubuntu2
