The message I get is "Could not calculate upgrade. An unresolvable
problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

Wasn't sure if that was the same as some of your listed bugs.

when i type in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ 
I get bash: /var/log/dist-upgrade/: Is a directory
