This sound is played on purpose to provide an audio feedback for people
with visual disabilities so they know when the system is ready and can
enable accessibility features like the screen reader.

don't hesitate to submit any bug you may find.

  Live session start makes annoying loud sound

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  The start of an Ubuntu 20.04 LTS live session, where it asks whether
  you want to Try or Install, makes an annoying loud chiming noise. One
  of the last things I want when troubleshooting with live media is to
  have to quickly hit the mute button to avoid angering everyone around
  me -- IMO computers should be seen and not heard, unless explicitly
  asked.
