  install from 19.10 --> 20.04 crashed system

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  tried to do an update from 19.10 to 20.04 desktop.  System will not
  restart, I see a bunch of sata errors, then blank screen.  Tried to
  reinstall from USB, now I'm here
