I've tried on 2 separate laptops now and I have the same issue. Tried
installing Fedora 32 and Solus with no issue on them. Seems to be an
issue with the Ubuntu installer.

  Was trying to install Ubuntu 20.04 on my Dell Latitude E7450 and it
  errored out when I was creating the user account. The only extra
  option selected on the installer was to use ZFS.
