Title:
grub2 shows 'biosdisk read error', then boots

Status in grub:
  Unknown
Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub-pc

I installed karmic alpha 64 bit daily from July 7th with a simple
software raid-1 configuration (no swap, no separate boot partition)

after the system was up and running (with GRUB 0.97 legacy), I
  installed grub-pc

everything works fine, I can boot, but GRUB shows a 'biosdisk read
error' for about one second, which is kind of irritating
