  Spash image is not displayed using grub2

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

  Using grub2 (1.98) under Lucid beta, the requested background image does not display when grub2 is entered at boot. I have followed all procedures to set background image under grub2. The results below demonstrate that the background image is found upon issuing an update-grub2 command:
