Title:
Grub hangs forever on halt command

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

Running the command "halt" on a grub2 console causes the PC to hang, not to shut down. Running "halt --no-apm" is the same.
The only way to resolve that hang is to power it off directly using the power button.

Rebooting from the grub2 console (issuing the "reboot" command) does
  work, though.
