Title:
apport-gtk doesn't show the window for entering password
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Apport-gtk fails to collect data as normal user when root/sudo password is not cached.
When I run apport-collect <bugnumber> for the first time after I logged in, apport hangs on collecting data and waits without end.
When I press ctrl-C, a gksudo dialog shows asking me for my password, but when I enter it, nothing happens.
When I run apport again, the situation repeats.
When I run ps -fe |grep apport, it shows the following process:
azrael 13673 1 0 22:38 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/gksu --message <span weight="bold" size="larger">Proszę wprowadzić hasło, aby uzyskać dostęp do raportów o problemach w systemie</span> /usr/share/apport/apport-gtk
When I press ctrl-C and run apport using sudo in the command line, I can finally collect the data for the bug, but sometimes it fails too.
