Public bug reported:

This happens whenever I use the ACPI mode instead of the RAID On mode in
my BIOS and install Ubuntu. On reboot, oftentimes, the decoding fails,
data becomes corrupt, and it ruins the install.

And this happens on the boot stages, especially during power-on and
power-off.
