[Bug 1868348] Re: Clean install, installer crashed after disk partitioning set up

Chris Guiver's assessment is correct. I'm embarrassed that I did not run
an MD5 check before attempting to install. It did not occur to me that
the ISO might be bad until quite a while after the first occurrence of
the error.

I think it is worth pointing out that I was able to create a bootable
USB drive, boot from that drive and use Ubuntu from that drive. It was
not until attempting to install Ubuntu that the corruption became
evident. So, it was non-intuitive that the ISO might be bad. After all,
I was running on a drive created from the ISO.

I have enough experience on linux, Ubuntu and SWQA that I should have
caught this sooner than I did. However, as the Ubuntu user base expands
and as Ubuntu strives to compete with Windows and Mac OSX, this issue is
going to cause a lot of frustration for less experienced users.

My suggestion is that Ubuntu Startup Creator run an MD5 check on the ISO
before proceeding with the creation of the USB drive. Whether it offers
a warning or simply refuses to create the bootable USB drive is for the
UX geeks to decide.
