Title:
Please replace the dependency on gsfonts by fonts-urw-base35
Status in libwmf package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in python-reportlab package in Ubuntu:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
The binary packages python3-renderpm (source: python-reportlab) and
libwmf0.2-7 (source: libwmf) depend on the gsfonts package and this
dependency should be rplaced by fonts-urw-base35.
The purpose of the gsfonts package is providing the 35 standard
PostScript fonts to Ghostscript, so that Ghostscript can render any
standards-conforming PostScript file.
The gsfonts package got replaced by the fonts-urw-base35 packages.
gsfonts is not maintained any more upstream (our package has the last
upstream source update in 2007) and the upstream source locations
mentioned in debian/copyright do not exist any more.
fonts-urw-base35 got promoted to Main (bug 1862048) and to get rid of
the duplication in Main and also of the unmaintained package the
dependencies in python3-renderpm and libwmf0.2-7 need to get updated.
