Hi,

during 20.04 installer boot we perform integrity check of the
installation media.

However, the new spinner theme doesn't offer UI progress of that like it
was with ubuntu-logo theme.

Thus lack of UI progress updates is related to the switch to the new
spinner theme.

In a way this is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/1867130 but i
think we want to keep this bug open due to discoverability?!

Bug description:
  With a USB stick built from the 20200309 daily image, the installer
  hangs at boot right after checking packages checksums, with an LVM-
  related error.

  Attached is an image of the boot screen.

  Note that the "fsck:md5susms%" messages keeps repeating indefinitely.

  The machine currently has dm-crypt + lvm.
