how long is indefinitely? I ask because I successfully booted, but it
was slow and I was booting off a USB3 enclosure with a m.2 SSD in it. I
then tried plugging the same device into a USB2 port and it still
booted, but took maybe a minute or slightly more to verify checksums.

Bug description:
  With a USB stick built from the 20200309 daily image, the installer
  hangs at boot right after checking packages checksums, with an LVM-
  related error.

  Attached is an image of the boot screen.

  Note that the "fsck:md5susms%" messages keeps repeating indefinitely.

  The machine currently has dm-crypt + lvm.
