We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner.

The following errors can be found in UbiquitySyslog.txt which was
automatically attached to this bug report:

Aug 17 10:10:46 ubuntu kernel: [ 1375.235150] SQUASHFS error: zlib decompression failed, data probably corrupt
Aug 17 10:10:46 ubuntu kernel: [ 1375.235159] SQUASHFS error: squashfs_read_data failed to read block 0x2195781d

You probably had a bad write to your media. When experiencing such
problems please try the option to check the integrity of the image from
the installer boot menu, and if this confirms that the media is corrupt,
try re-writing it.

I'm closing this bug report now due to the time that has elapsed since
this bug report was raised.

Title:
U 16.04.1 LiveUsb Installer crashed, LiveSession hadn't been upgraded
  or updated

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hi :)
Actually it's a Multiboot Usb booting a ".iso" image, which i torrented down to ~/Downloads and then cp'd across on the Usb stick /media/sdb3/boot/grub/iso

I'm still trying to figure out how to get persistence working and
haven't tried updates and upgrades yet.

  I'm trying to install Ubuntu 16.04.1 onto some old partitions that have very old and broken versions of Ubuntu on them.  With past versions of Ubuntu i've been able to avoid formatting during install and that;
  1. fixed any problems
  2. refreshed my system
  3. kept my old stuff even without needing to use a separate /home partition

So there could be a problem with the various old systems i've tried to
install over or it could be because i just haven't upgraded U16.04.1
  yet.

I hope something in here helps! Sorry it's so verbose and uninformative!
  Regards from
  Tom :)
