Title:
ubuntu-bug asks for sudo password midway through collection [linux-
  image-server hook]

Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When running ubuntu-bug manually through an SSH session, without
  recently using sudo, this happened:

  ryan at nibbler:~$ ubuntu-bug linux-image-server

  *** Collecting problem information

The collected information can be sent to the developers to improve the
application. This might take a few minutes.
  .......[sudo] password for ryan: .........................

At that point, I cancelled, since I was not sure if it was sudo itself or another process that has control of readline. Running a trivial sudo command ("sudo ls") then re-running ubuntu-bug prevented this from happening again.
